Team of surveillance experts for conducting BSS 2012 in Republic of Moldova

Consultants are required to have:

• experience in working with UNAIDS or cosponsors;
• expertise in biological and behavioral surveillance, program design and evaluation;
• demonstrated experience in facilitation and research expertise, especially on HIV/AIDS
• demonstrated experience in developing participatory training materials;
• demonstrated experience in conducting data analysis;
• familiarity with international reporting processes;
• skills in meeting facilitation and partner coordination;
• expertise in the fields of monitoring and evaluation (M&E),
• the flexibility to respond to requests for country stakeholders at relatively short notice.

Before undertaking this consultancy consultants must:

• successfully complete a three-day training course in UNAGSS reporting (to be determined)
• familiarize themselves with the Guidelines for Second Generation HIV Surveillance, available at:http://www.who.int/hiv/pub/surveillance/en/cds_edc_2000_5.pdf
• familiarize themselves with the BSS Studies Conducted by Family Health International, submitted by countries in their region in 1989 – 2009, which are available at:http://www.fhi360.org/en/HIVAIDS/pub/survreports/res_BSS_full_list.htm
